“We initially set out to keep W&O Street Tracks as a vinyl only label, we grew up with records, love how vinyl sounds and wanted to do our bit to keep the format going. We have nothing against digital formats but for these releases we wanted to make them as special as we could and sound as good as possible.
The success of both our own ‘Love That Burns (Hot Enough)’ record and the new EJECA 12”, has shown that there’s still a healthy market out there for people who love vinyl in all it’s awkward, back breaking, glory and we thank everyone who has supported the label so far.
Still having received a lot of feedback from the public we’ve come to realise that everyone enjoys things in their own way and for many people vinyl just isn’t an option any more. Importantly for us we were also seeing a lot of low quality rips of our releases appearing online defeating one of the main reasons for pressing these tracks on vinyl in the first place, making sure they sounded great. We don’t want you listening to shit.
With that in mind we will be now be releasing certain tracks from each record digitally too. We hope that by straddling the two, vinyl first with a selected track for digital release to follow, we can celebrate two fine musical formats, keep everybody happy and dancefloors sounding great. Thanks again for all your support!”
